Boyfriend follows his ex on Instagram?

He only follows her on there and nothing else. Is this weird?

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 11 months and knew this “ex”, the worst part about it he named a different girl as his ex at the beginning of our relationship. This whole time I thought another girl was his ex and now he admits it’s this girl. I remember looking at his following and seeing this girl on his following yet she doesn’t follow him back. He says that he doesn’t want her but if he wanted her back he could easily get her back.
