How do you get over someone?

My ex was cheating on me for a year so i dumped her, she's with the other guy now. My kid is there too. That was 3 years ago and j struggle to move on or start a new relationship. At night I dream that we are still together as a family and as lovers in a mix of old memories of what was and imaginative of the now and the way things should be. It bugs me to think I'm paying child support, alimony and she has the family home to facilitate her life with that other guy.
