He broke up with me but the said he will call me when he gets back in town. He asked me if I knew how to return to my car. Confusing I haven’t reached out I gave him the break up he wanted. Does he want me to chase him? He made up an excuse to break up to.

If there's nothing you owe to him (car, stuff,$$) and things where clear I don't see why he would want to see you again. If after all he broke up with you.
