way too long, i dated my ex for two weeks and i still haven't gotten over him (it's been around a month). this might be because we were really good friends before which makes the breakup even worse. i really really really loved him so i think it might take at least one more month to get over him.. it might seem like a short time but to me it's not because he's online not irl, so everything feels longer.
my other ex kind of jumped straight into dating and never really said 'i love you' or any of those sweet things so even though he wasn't the best i still took around 2 weeks to get over him.
in reply to your question, i think it depends on how much i loved them to determine how fast i get over him, and maybe what type of relationship we had before we started dating, (platonic, just friends etc.)
Depends on the relationship. Hypothetically if my current boyfriend broke up with me today, it would take me at least 2 years to get over him and move on. But we’ve been together for a while, we live together, and there’s a lot of love between us.
If I was in a relationship that wasn’t serious and only lasted for a few months then it wouldn’t take long to move on. Since a few months isn’t long enough to truly get to know someone and form a serious relationship.
