I never separated or took a break from someone , if it’s over it’s over is how I look at it , Have you ever went through a separation or taken a break with someone? What was the outcome of it all?

I had a very good result with it with my now-wife but I was working on a very big project when we started dating. My brain wasn't there when we dated and I kept apologizing to her when we had dinner and I was zoned out, just thinking about my work and my team.

She thankfully had patience and I asked for just 3 months of no dating that I can focus on my work and leading my team until we shipped. She gave me that time and I barely talked to her during that time. But we shipped.

After I made up to her though and we dated left and right after. Also it wasn't a break like, "Let's see other people." I had no interest in that. It's just that I needed to pull something epic for my team.

I see girls say we're selfish if we can't afford a dinner here or a text or call there. But I figure they're spoiled. They probably never a lead a team of engineers doing something no one else has done before during a crunch season. They don't understand the mental energy and focus required.

Yes with 4 different guys, 2 of which the goal was to definitely pickup where things left off and we did. The other 2 i was happy to escape. But nope got back with all 4. Found out 2 of them got with someone during the break and presumed a 3rd might have. I even started talking to someone new while on break with 3 of the 4. I definitely wouldn't do breaks in the future because we all know what theyre truly about
