Can you keep someone blocked if you love them?

Im trying to move on from my ex but i can't even keep him blocked for a whole day. How do people do it or do they only block people they dont care about?

My ex was a good boyfriend to me, amazing really. We ended in good terms (difficult but we didn't hate each other). I can im gonna need some space but if he needs me he can reach out to me, but he ends up talking to me most days, casually. Like we’re still together.

I blocked my ex because it was the safest thing for me to do to benefit myself after our break up. I know you are going to want to be nosy and curious, but if you want to make a statement that he’s not allowed back in, blocking is the best point possible. It’s a statement that “yes I love you, but I love myself first”

Because I love myself more than I would ever love him. It doesn't hurt him, only hurts me. Why would I intentionally emotionally hurt myself?

Don’t you feel guilty it’s like locking somebody in prison for example and some never release them and they can never contact you because you can complete control it like throwing out the key
