I think that’s silly… I get being insecure. But…. If someone chooses you and you know they have options. Then they chose you for a reason.

If you pick someone who doesn’t have options and you’re the best they can find. Well… A lot of times they leave as soon as they find someone better.

If someone tells you that. I would generally take their word for it. I’m not saying there isn’t nefarious people out there. But if someone is “out of your league” and they genuinely want you…. They want you. Because if they didn’t they would have found someone else

Yes in 2005 I met someone who I thought was the love of my life and fell head over heels for them. Her name was Tiffany. they reciprocated but it was short-lived and I can honestly say that was the most broken hearted I've been because of being dumped even her mom said I was too good for her daughter. She dumped me over the phone on a phone call I remember not getting any sleep that night cuz I literally was on the floor crying screaming my spirit truly was grieving

Having someone break up with you over the phone is bad.
I knew a guy and his girlfriend broke up with him on his answering machine.
Now that's really low too.

What if it was because you are very attractive physically and he is not and he feels inferior to you and can't shake it off?

We would know it long before the thought of a relationship appeared. We would work on it. And if it didn't work, I wouldn't go in the relationship direction.

remember that it takes months for me to get to know people and let them get closer. I have time to observe and address many things before we start to talk about the relationship. And if things don't work... I have time, to end it peacefully.

Nope, never happened.
Sally broke up because Bill found out about us.
Carol broke up because she came to her senses, again (She has a chemical imbalance in her brain so, when she goes off her meds, she falls in love with me. When she takes them, again, she goes back to her boyfriend. I didn't know this `til AFTER we'd been together a few months.)
Anu broke up because I didn't have my own house and car and wasn't sifting through other peoples' garbage and taking pictures of it, like her new boyfriend did.

Yes, 28 years ago Now I’m well off w a family. She’s got 7 kids w 5 different dudes. She tried to wish me a happy birthday last year. Didn’t respond. At the time I was devastated, but now I’m glad she did what she did. I’m sure she isn’t but don’t matter that’s her life, I have my own.

This does happen more often than we know about.
When you are dating someone that feels you are out of their league, it is almost impossible to make them believe you love them and want a relationship with them, because they'll always think to themselves "Why is she with ME"?
