Deciding whether to delete pictures after a breakup can be a tough choice and depends a lot on your personal feelings and the nature of the breakup. Here are some things to consider that might help you decide:
Emotional Impact: Keeping these pictures can sometimes prolong the emotional pain of a breakup, especially if seeing them brings back strong memories. If you find that the pictures make you feel sad or hinder your ability to move on, it might be healthier to remove them.
Privacy and Respect: Consider the privacy and feelings of your ex as well. Some people prefer not to have their images kept by someone they are no longer in a relationship with.
Future Relationships: Think about how future partners might feel about these photos. Keeping photos of an ex might be uncomfortable or misunderstood by new partners.
Archiving Instead of Deleting: If you’re not ready to completely delete the photos but don’t want them easily accessible, you might choose to archive them somewhere out of sight. This way, you don’t have to make a final decision until you're more certain about what you want to do.
Significant Memories: Consider whether some photos have significance beyond the relationship, like those from important life events or trips. You might decide to keep these for their historical or sentimental value, separate from the relationship context.
It’s a personal decision, and there’s no right or wrong answer, just what feels right for you at this point in your life.
It totally depends upon you and what you believe. It's completely your decision.
For some people those are part of their past, part of life. They are the moment they cherish and contributed in growth. So some people don't believe in deleting them but instead they keep it somewhere safe where they can't access more frequently.
Some people believe in deleting all painful past so they prefer deleting everything.
But whatever is your decision, you make sure your future girlfriend could be this much mature to understand your decision and you could be faithful to her. Don't dwell in past just because you have memories and you can access them while being with her but keeping those behind try to move on
If you dont delete you can't forget
