What would you do if you found out that not only was your wife cheating on you, your children lied about it and helped her cover it up?

WOW. Ok, so I have some questions -- not to be hurtful, but just to get context. You don't have to answer, but it's stuff to think about.

1. Kids show loyalty to parents they respect... What did you do to lose your kids' respect?

2. Did you cheat on your wife, ignore your family obligations or do anything else that would qualify as emotional, physical or financial abandonment of your family?

3. HOW did your wife cheat (physically, emotionally or both)?

4. How long has she been cheating -- do you know?

Why am I asking this stuff... If you'd "checked out" of the relationship then she possibly felt lonely and chose to cheat. (This doesn't justify it, however the reality is most people don't like being alone, particularly those who choose marriage... they WANT TO BE WITH the person they've married.) The other reason is that it's odd for the kids to side with one parent over another without just cause. Kids just don't work that way.

Again, I'm not trying to upset you... you're going through stuff... but you do need to consider these things even if it's just quietly to yourself. Everything happens for a reason. This didn't just all hit you from out of the blue.

Nah it's alright, this is purely hypothetical. Im married sure, no kids, and my wife definitely is not cheating. I was trying to imagine the absolute worst case scenario for a man.

And that's not the worst scenario. Some of us have lived through hell because of some cheater. It takes a real MF to cry wolf as you did.

Like Liam said, it's about the age of the child. A teenager? They're getting disowned? An 8 year old? They're getting therapy. The wife is getting papers.

Depends on the age of the kids as to whether that changes the dimension of it.

Otherwise , its just the usual cheat scenario.
