Yes to both. But extremely rare for me to block. Someone has to give me a very serious reason to do it.

Have you ever tried to reason with that person? I used to do this on an old forum. I would ask a friend if they could reach out to the person who blocked me with my message, and believe it or not most times they would unblock after that. A few even admitted they confused me for someone else.

I have blocked only a few people, and only when they have been grossly disrespectful to me or other users. I usually discover someone has blocked me... about once a week.

I dont reason with pedophiles, nor do I reason with people who have sexist views, nor do I reason with racists, nor do I reason with arrogant people who think the universe revolves around them.

I have blocked people and no I don't think so, change is normally a hard thing to do and they are gonna have to want to change in order to even have a chance of changing in general.

Only occasionally when they are sending inappropriate messages. I doubt they will ever change and I've never tried to reason with them other than warning them to stop.

I don't typically block somebody (except on here). If it's on say, Facebook. Then I just unfollow them. Because then they're out of sight, out of mind without them even knowing it. So no one gets angry. As far as reasoning goes. The only way I'd be considering blocking someone is if reasoning has already failed.
