Yes. I remained friends with some of my ex girlfriends.

I am Facebook friends with my very first girlfriend. I was 16 and she wasn't yet 15 when we met. We were together for over a year. She was always good people. She's a happy grandma now.

My next girlfriend was really cool, too. She and I were together for over a year. After I moved on, we remained friends for a long time before losing touch.

When I was 36, I met a 30 year old named Petra and we wound up living together for almost a year. She was the first woman I ever loved with all my heart. Unfortunately, we couldn't make it as life-long partners and separated even though we loved each other. Afterward, it took me a year to pull myself together and move on with life. Then I met my future wife when I was 40 and married her two year later.

About 18 years after we separated, Petra found me on Facebook. We even spoke on the phone a few times. She was living out of state. I was overjoyed to be in touch, hear what she was up to, and know that she was doing well. She was an extraordinary lady.

Being in touch with her wasn't a threat to my marriage. We couldn't be together and I love my wife deeply. But I treasured our friendship.

Then, five years later, I read that she had died for a sudden medical problem at the age of 55. I was devastated. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal.

It would depends on why she’s my ex. Every breakup is different. Some people just aren’t compatible. Others are cheaters or abusive

Personally no. My ex was a narcissist and put me through A LOT to say the least. Almost 8 years of hell! He tried for a while to be my friend after we had separated and I had to tell him no for my sanity and safety. He didn’t understand why but eventually got the hint.


I could see being friends with and ex if you weren’t together for a long time and split in a mutual agreement though.

I have no attraction to my ex at all but my boyfriend might not like me being friends with him. My ex deserves to be happy, just not with me.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with it. I'm friends with some of my exes.

Impossible to be sure. Maybe some of they do, but none of them have made any moves on me for a long time, so I doubt it.
