Why do exes start to want to come back when you have moved on with someone else?

For some people they miss what they had they start reminiscing maybe they feel guilty or maybe simply they never found someone else maybe they lost someone. These people don’t generally have nefarious intentions.

Dark personalities such as narcissists, etc. Even if they broke off the relationship when they see you have moved on they feel as if they lost control over you as well as the upper hand. It’s all about control…. They have a deep sense of entitlement. Now…. They don’t give a shit about you as a human being. They just can no longer get anything out of you as well as manipulate your emotions.

They would rather you hate them and burn with anger then to feel completely indifferent to them. They will do things…. They will try to make you fall for them again. Oh how they have changed. Maybe even fake being sorry. Or maybe they will do things to make you jealous. Maybe even try to piss you off maybe start smearing your again to others. Those are the most dangerous.

It's usually just jealousy. They don't want to see you happier with someone else other than themselves. I'm guilty of it too. I don't like seeing my exes happier with other people. It's always harder when your exes are the ones who break up with you than if you're the one to break up with them.

Because they realize no one else wants them or no one else treated them the same way as their ex did so they try to come back , hoping to start over where they left off. A lot of relationships end because one partner is selfish , thinking grass is greener on the other side , but when they realize it isn’t , they try to come back , Why it’s wise to never take an ex back , especially if they left you for selfish reasons , they don’t know how to love anyone, they just know how to use others’ including yourself

Could be it. I know my ex has not moved on (I talk with her sister). I was her first and last actual boyfriend (long story short she has a bad case of multiple sclerosis). I know she lives with her now, and that was it. Also, I have the same disease, but nothing like she has.

@Simslover92 Some cases, they may feel they made a mistake, breaking off with you and hope to restart the relationship. Not uncommon, and it has happened, with me but it did not work out, and she went on to other relationships and a terrible marriage that her traumatized. I felt terrible, but I could not help her at that point.

It's always tough to see someone you loved and shared so many memories with move on. They believed you when you said you'd always love them and then, they realize it isn't true. A part of them wants to bring you back to them to show themselves that they're still important to you. The only thing I'm going to say is, if they are an ex they got that title for a reason, so it matters not why they want to come back. Don't allow them back into your life. But to answer your question they want what they can no longer have and seeing you with someone else, or enjoying your life without them makes them crazy and they want to see why you are happier without them. That is a really good question. Even I don't know why this exactly happens, I think one reason could be that they start realising what they missed and they think about the good memories and moments so they want to come back.
