Do self hating people have to hate everyone else?

I’m not talking people who are insecure or have self esteem issues but are still genuinely nice people.

I mean people who view people as beneath them to feel better about themselves. Enjoy others pain and misery because it takes their minds off their own. As well as seeing people they view as above them. They need to tear them down to their level.

Self hate is usually turned inward, not outward. Some people become more critical of others, but many just struggle quietly with themselves.

Often, how someone treats others depends on their emotional maturity, not just their self esteem.

Healing self hate tends to make people kinder to themselves and to others.

Yeah. But it definitely comes from insecurity when people are doing it to put others down and bring others down.

There is other reasons people are rude to others though

There is a cliché, “Hurt people, hurt people,” Meaning that people who hurt others do so because they had been hurt. I can see how this cliché can sometimes apply.

However, I believe we all have a choice. We choose to be kind or we choose to be spiteful.

From my understanding it is a self protection projecting thing. I was once (I thought it was a bad joke) considered cool enough to be in the popular girls club at a new school and got the insides to how it really is, they are the most insecure ones and put on this phasade to the rest. It was so bad I felt sorry for them. I knew I couldn't be with them because I did my own thing and had a strong distaste for bullies and bad attitude like that. I've seen the same thing in families where there is a bully. Bullies get raises by bullies but have learned zero from it and continue to be part of the circle. Perhaps not all bullies, but yea, just speaking from my experiences.
