Is it normal for guys to date girls from other schools?

Most of the boys in my year date girls from different schools but never really anyone from the same school as them. This makes us girls really annoyed because they would rather date someone who they only know from social media instead of girls they see most days. Is this normal?

Yes, I went to an all girls school so it's the only option we had. It's probably a good idea to date from another school so you're not spending all your time with him and you can have some space.
