too bland. it's just a white wall in the background and no facial expression, kind of like a passport picture. also you don't want the camera that close because then you can see all the nitty gritty details you don't want (stray facial hairs, minor blemishes, etc.).

yeah selfies are as annoying as hell. if you can't get somebody else to do it take the picture at arms length and avoid getting as much of the arms as possible in the shot.

yeah good idea, or you could have one doing a sport or something. I have a pic of me and a friend in a suit from a dressy ball. probably not a good idea to have group pics like me though (that said I got other ones in my profile). basically, just get creative, get a nice, stylish haircut going and show some personality.

ok, so first one's nice, because it shows you are social and have female friends even if the convention might be a bit nerdy (or not! I'm not saying anything!). on the downside, women might think you're trying too hard to show off your female friends. after all, if you had that many women in your circle, you probably wouldn't need a dating app. if you're gonna use this one crop out the two of you on the left, so that you're more in the centre of the shot.

second picture is you and a white wall again.

third picture, better but a bit blurry, and you can't really see your face again.

fourth pic... maybe a bit too retro but better than third pic.

fifth pic, I like the concept but it's a side angle rather than front view and again you're not in the centre plus your hand is obstructing your face. maybe work with this idea more.

sixth pic would be an absolutely perfect shot if everybody wasn't blacked out!

don't mean to sound harsh here, just giving my thoughts. some girls might like.

Yeah I wasn't trying to show off my female friends I just thought I had a nice smile in it and since that was the #1 request I wanted a good one. I thought if I cut the other girls out it'd look like the remaining one might be my girlfriend or something. I figured it wouldn't matter if I was centered because I was the only guy. There was another guy in the picture too but he looked awkward so I cut him out. All of those girls were taken at the time of the picture.

Picture 2 I kept because I was told a straightforward selfie would be good, give the girls an idea what I really look like and even if it's generic people have said I look good in it.

3 and 4 sorta had to go together because you can barely tell what I'm wearing in picture 4 but you can't see my face very well in picture 3. 5 is an older picture but people have told me they liked it so I put it in, shows me with friends. 6 was just a filler picture.

It'd too hard for me to tell with tinder (or with online dating in general).
I rely way too much on in-person chemistry, which you just can't convey through pictures. Even if I were 20 years younger and single, I wouldn't really use tinder/online dating.

The guy's face is good-looking enough. ::shrugs::

That other series of photos is kinda weird tho. Especially the last one (the stock photo of silhouettes/shadows on the beach or whatever) -- like, huh? lol

I recommend you invest in a wardrobe of good smart casual tight fitting clothes. make sure you know all your measurements - legs (inside, outside), waist, chest, etc. Also, make sure you get a good suit and cherish that thing like it's your baby.

Also, check out the hairstyles you can get. I recommend pretty much anything short and trim. I personally go for a low blend fade cut, messy on top and squared off at the back, because I personally really hate the tapered look. But do your google research and figure out what suits you personally. Make sure you find a decent, inexpensive but stylish barbers and check out this article:
