Oh c'mon , you guys are still crying about that? I don't mean the asker, but the bitter male answers. I left this website 1,5 years ago and you were bragging about that, then I come back and you're still bragging about it?
Look, I'm 1,69 m (5'6'' for those that don't know the metric system), and I'm sure I'm a turn off to many, many girls, but so what? How does that change my life exactly? I have preferences too, I prefer girls with curves and a fit body and would hate if people started giving me a hard time about my preferences.
Live and let live is one of my mottos.
Luckily for me at US average height of 5'9 I can say I'm typically attracted to cute faced skinny petite girls around 5'3 ish so I don't care haha
I'm perfectly happy with girls shorter than me as most are but I find the tall ones get my attention the most.
Sure, and I'm pretty short myself at 5'4. As long as he's not painfully self conscious about it it doesn't bother me. It admittedly doesn't come up much at my height, but I've never understood needing your partner to be taller, it's kind of fun to mix it up and be the tall one for once. Just not caring a woman is taller than you reads as confidence to me, which tends to be attractive. Plus it's hard enough findinga partner who really profoundly suits you without excluding people based on something as arbitrary as height.
Im 5'6"
I have been attracted to guys who were around 5'5" before ( they had good values, Nice faces, and were very smart, CONFIDENT) so i might do it if he isn't over an inch or so shorter.
BUT my preference is 5'11 to 6'3".
I am myself a "tall girl". To me this means many guys are shorter than me, but this absolutely doesn't stop me from dating them (except they are like 3 heads shorter). Size is'nt the most important thing:)

There is absolutely no legit reason for girls to not date guys shorter than them, but it always looks odd to me. Of course, I'm 4'9", so I've NEVER had this issue. I've date guys who are 2' taller than me though and I recognize how odd that looks. Go figure. Love is blind. I say whoever you're attracted to, ask. If she's insecure about it, it's her issue to work out, not yours.
Peter Dinklage is 4'5" and many women like him. He has a great personality too. What's wrong with him?
My boyfriend is 5'6 or so, am a good head taller than him.
Gosh... How tall are you?
Gosh, a 6'2 woman with a mere 5'6 man.
Funny enough.
Isn't he insecure?
And what about you?
You like that he is soooo smaller than you?
good for you, I think sometimes women can be too closed minded, there's a difference between having preferences and being shallow.
He is skinny than you, he is way short tha you.
Still you like him?
Doesn't it look odd to be with such a man ESP during intimacy? You easily dominate him?
Reminder: Don't feed the trolls, thanks
Yeah it obviously seems like you are really dominant woman over this short skinny man. Do you dominate him sexually and physically as well?
Consequences of not doing what you want him to do!!! What consequences does he face if he disobey you? Wow
Hmmm.
Have you ever emotionally and physically hurt him as well?
Is your favourite position woman on top?
@hottiegalhere My favorite isn't woman on top except when I'm angry at him.
I prefer ordering him to do what I want him to do.
Some of the consequences he will face is his butt getting a spank, placing him in a chasity belt and making him watch porn. Every now and then I will punish him by making him please a woman that he does not like very much.
Lol, when you are angry at him you ride him sexually! Lol
Is he able to take your heavy tall well built body on his skinny built body? Lol
Why do you prefer ordering him rather than riding him?
I'd be okay with it--even if it's noticeable, just as long as it isn't dramatic (I'm 5'5" for example, so as long as he isn't anything like 4'1")
To be honest I can understand why many women would be uncomfortable with it as I may feel awkward as well. Most straight women are attracted to masculinity makes sense. Good that your open minded 😀
What makes being tall more masculine than being short?
@yotes-of-472 When viewing height from a biological perspective, it's associated with protection and safety, two factors that align within the attributes of masculinity.
I'm 5'2 so that'd be pretty hard but no, I don't think I would. I like being the smaller one, I wouldn't wanna date a guy or girl shorter than me.
Why not?
@yotes-of-472 Like I said, I like being the smaller one.
Why so?
@yotes-of-472 Give it a break egg yoke
Wow, you going to make fun of my name? I'm tired of women and their sexist bullshit mantra that women are more important when men have to be taller than her.
I'm 5'4" and I'd date a 5'8" woman and would even rather her wear 4" heels to appear 6'.
@yotes-of-472 Good for you. Height preference isn't sexist, in my opinion, seeing as both men and women have it. There are plenty of me for whom I would be too short for and that's okay, dating is a discriminatory thing in general.
Doesn't have to be discriminating. They choose it to be that way.
@yotes-of-472 The same way for guys who wouldn't date me because of my height or guys who won't date girls taller than them. Everyone has preferences and things they're more comfortable with, physically and personality-wise and that is natural and not something that can be avoided. Sucks but everyone deals with it.
Some men have a preference to slap women. Why not deal with that too since it's their preference?
@yotes-of-472 Because that is a completely different situation and by even suggesting it's the same thing, you make yourself seem utterly ridiculous?
No it isn't. You claim you can have your preferences and shouldn't be challenged. Why can't others have their preferences without being challenged?
@yotes-of-472 I never said that I shouldn't be challenged. Challenging things and beliefs is incredibly important, you should challenge everything. However, in my opinion, attacking another person is not the same thing as not finding them attractive and it is insane to compare the two.
But you wouldn't date an unattractive man though. If all men were shorter than you, what would you do?
@yotes-of-472 I wouldn't date a man that I considered unattractive, no. However, many would consider my partner unattractive for some of his features, such as how his hair goes down to the small of his back. I find him incredibly attractive, others would find him incredibly unattractive. So to many people, I already am dating an unattractive man, to others I'm dating someone very good looking. All depends on preference. I also don't think that not wanting to date someone you don't find attractive is a bad thing.
And if all men were shorter than me, then I assume that would be something that I would have grown up with and considered normal and thus my preferences would change and I would probably be attracted to shorter men? I'm also bi, so if women were still taller than me, I'd be happy enough having a relationship with a woman.
See? You ain't confidant. Your preferences are determined by outside factors, not by your own thinking.
@yotes-of-472 Yes because that's the way attraction works, dear.
No it doesn't. I don't dictate my views upon how things are predicated around me. People have unorthodox views like me in many things too but I don't base things on how they currently are. I view men who wears suits as wusses even though men of today wear them to formal events. I make up my own mind, not base it upon what is currently trending.
I used to date a guy shorter than me, so fine with me.
Mind if I ask how tall you are?
I wanna be the good person and say I would but I have to be honest, it would feel really weird for me. My standards are reasonable though. I don't have a strict "he has to be 6ft minimum" rule. I'm cool with 5'9"+.
Wow the asker make everyone sexist LOL
i wouldn't date short guys especially shorter than me. I am 5"4'
I don't think men should be taller than women. That's sexist. I don't judge couples who's boyfriend is shorter than her. I don't see any problem.
But simply i prefer super tall guys. Even 6" seems short to me. It's just a preference.
Men in my country are really short (East Asia) and i never thought they are attractive.
I wouldn't but because I am short😂 any guy shorter than 5'3?
Any preferences for height?
@MysteriousDarkness Brad Pitt had a normal body mass index. That is normal body.
My preference is taller guys, as I am only 5'6 and most guys are taller than me, this is not usually an issue. I would not count a shorter guy out just for being short, though.
I'm about 5'11" and I would be fine with a guy who is maybe one or two inches shorter than me, but not much more than that. I usually prefer guys who are the same height or taller, though.
Guys around 5'6?
What about 5’7-5’8?
I am 5ft.6, and I would probably date a guy who was my height or a little shorter. I am a little biased because my mom is a little taller than my dad, so I don't really mind the shorter thing. I probably wouldn't be attracted to someone who was a lot shorter than me, though. I just generally like really masculine guys, and I find shorter guys to not be as masculine.
Why is tallness considered masculine?
@yotes-of-472 I don't know, it just is
I prefer a guy to be taller than me cos I'm only 5'1 , as long as I look up at him and not down at him his height is ok for me 😋
Why can't a man be shorter than you? Why so sexist?
You're confusing the word sexist and preference 😏everyone has them. Surely you do too
My ex wasn't intimidated by my heels choices.
He was ok about dating any woman with great personality.
As long as you are not intimidated by my 6 inch heels, we are good to go.
It's better not to drag your personal insecurities during the dates.
@airishere 5'3"
I only know one girl who's 183cm... and she is looking for a dude that's not smaller than her - however, I think she's open to all possibilities.
Well I'm like 4',9. If a guy is shorter than me, then I'd feel kinda weird, but I wouldn't mind a small guy.
I am 4'8 , would you date me?
@dontaskmebaby depends if you're cute and if you have a good personality.
I honestly don't mind the height as much as a lot of other girls do because I'm so tiny.
I am cute and I am nice
I'm 5 ft 2 inches so if the guy was otherwise a perfect match and my height I may date him, but I couldn't go any shorter.
Well I'm 6'1" so that's only a 3 inch difference. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. I have been attracted to shorter guys in the past.
37% of girls/women would date shorter guys.
More is impossible. You just have to be lucky.
where'd you pull that statistic from?
so wishful thinking lol
My mom is taller than my dad, if that helps you in any way. She is around 170ish cm and my dad around 160ish I think
I have, as long as he is confident in his height its all good.
Nope I'm too short to date someone shorter than me.
Most girls unfortunately want taller guys. Quite a shame considering there can be nothing done about one's height.
that's what I thought, agreed.
No problem for you tho.
@YourFutureEx but I have empathy for my fellow man. It is a real shame.
Sidenote - why the downvotes?
Not sure really :/, I guess they don't want you complaining about their preferences.
Apparently.
I admit that being tall is more appealing to most girls, but we are able to look through it if you still make her feel like she's the feminine/submissive one in your relationship.
Nope. I'm only 5'0, though, so... I'd really like him to be taller than me.
If I manage to find a guy shorter than 5'4 I'll give you my answer.. XD
David Faustino is 5'3" and women dig him.
Maybe 1 or 2 inches shorter but that is it. I'm not that tall though.
I would only if he was like an inch shorter than me. I'm 4'9 about a quarter of an inch of being 4'10
Yeah I would surely.
It would be easy to dominate him psychologically as well as physically.
I am 5'9
That would be hot!
I would and have. I'm 5'10. It's cute when a guy is shorter than me. Not as good a protector obviously, but then again I'm not one of those girls that demands a guy be a physical specimen just to feel safe.
Umm to be honest, no thank you lol. I'm only 5'0 and to date someone shorter than that would be kinda weird tbh.
No I don't thinks so I'm 5'0 so if he was shorter then me he'd probably be a midget
A midget is offensive. They prefer dwarf. A man that's 4'11" is not a dwarf.
They wouldn't. You are even shorter than I am; by an inch, and as short guys, we tend to get f*cked over the most.
Women will date a short guy if he has high status (so she can ride the coat tails of his attention) and/or money (provide for her). However, most women will cheat behind his back with a 6'2+ male. Seen it all the time.
I would and I am. My current boyfriend is 5'2/5'3 and I am 5'4.
Wassup with these height questions lol I wouldn't do it I can't do it
didn't know there were so many
I'm 5'2 and I would but I've never met a dude who's shorter than me, so taller guys it is.
I'd date a guy anywhere in between 5'3 and 6'6
Don't you wear heels?
Isn't 5'3 feminine height for a man?
Yeah given that they have male genitalia and hormones they are theoretically a male, but not really a Man. Agree?
@hottiegalhere no lol height is such an irrelavent thing, why turn it into a big deal. This whole subject is the reason why many guys are insecure about their height and they really have no need to be. I could date a guy who was like 5ft and i'd still feel as though he was as much of a man as a guy who was 6'8.
@Floljk I agree that height should not be considered feminine or masculine.
@airishere Not all guys are insecure around women who are taller than them. For example I am 5'4 and my exes were pal taller than me except 2 of them. Never bothered me.
@hottiegal In your own opinion what makes height masculine or feminine? In your opinion why shouldn't a woman who is dating a guy wear heels or wear heels that would make her taller than the guy?
@MysteriousDarkness wow people are on here
*still
I'd definitely date someone shorter than me... so she would have to be between 5'0-5'5
I have never even seen a guy shorter than me, except for dwarves. And I wouldn't date a dwarf.
Personally. I wouldn't. I have before and just felt awkward as going for a hug theyd end up motorboated... so just my preference not to again.
No, I wouldn't. I personally am heightist and have a height fetish. I am 5'7'' tall myself and would only prefer guys taller than me. 6' is ideal.
That eliminates 82% of American men then, since only 18% are 6' or taller.
@yotes-of-472 5'10" is my min height for a guy.
Why can;t men be shorter than you?
Men choose women shorter than him. Why can't women do the same?
@yotes-of-472 Just personal preference.
How tall are you?
@yotes-of-472 I said that already.
No you didn't.
@yotes-of-472 Check my opinion...
Your name is Opinion Owner. I read all messages my Opinion Owner and it isn't listed.
@yotes-of-472 “No, I wouldn't. I personally am heightist and have a height fetish. I am 5'7'' tall myself and would only prefer guys taller than me. 6' is ideal.”
You just said the same thing that Anonymous said.
@yotes-of-472 Don't you know the "Opinion Owner" refers to the "Anonymous" here? Oh Jesus...
Anybody can be anonymous and in essence be the opinion owner then. What if I was anonymous too?
@yotes-of-472 I'll try to forgive you because you are new here.
I'm 5'4" 138 lbs and I seem to be about the height of half of women so I don't understand why so many women wouldn't pick me when they're that height or shorter.
I'm 5'1" so it's pretty unlikely!
Any preferences?
I like tall guys personally. My husband is 6'1." You'd be surprised how many tall guys go for short girls.
I am 5'2" and I have never met a guy shorter than me so 😀 .
Girls say it's the personality that matters. Yet you have girls on here who have a standard (not preference) height guys have to be before they'd date him. I'm sorry but girls chat shit all the time.
@Liisjak do girls have to have a certain boob size for you to date them?
So you're telling me you don't care what she looks like, or what type of body she has? I kind of admire you. For me personally, boob size isn't much of an issue, though legs, ass, hips, hair, eye color, how much make up she puts on and you know, all of the small details that I can see. Why would I date someone I don't physically like? Cuz of their shiny personality? We can still be friends and have the same benefits of a nice conversation.
@Liisjak you're missing the point entirely. My point was girls usually say something along the lines of "personality matters so much more than looks" yet no matter how great the personality and the rest of his looks are, if he doesn't meet the STANDARD height requirement then she wouldn't even consider him. And tbh, if you completely rule out dating a girl because of some of the things you've mentioned I'd say that's pretty stupid too.
Life isn't unicorns farting rainbows, everybody lies and we're not all equal. If you can't deal with the bullshit, that's on you. When I speak with my girl friends why they don't date some dudes, you'd be surprised at the answers.
Why would I date somebody I don't find attractive... isn't that like the first principle of dating?
@Liisjak even my girlfriend has told me some of the reasons why she's rejected guys in the past. I roll my eyes when I hear of her reasons. Some of them are literally quite stupid. I'm not telling you to date someone you don't find attractive. I'm just saying that most of the things you've listed are quite trivial. You're right. Life isn't univorns farting rainbows. Which is why I get quite astounded when people are picky over minor things.
People are generally trivial. Last year I had a girl chasing after me for months, and she was really gorgeous (a personal trainer), but I just couldn't stand her. Then after 2 months of constantly annoying me every other weekend, I decided to go on a date with her. What I found out was that despite her awesome body, I couldn't stand her personality. It was so much flower power and so infuriatingly positive that I wanted to bash my head through a wall. So in short, physical defects are as important as personality defects... at least for me, but maybe I'm just weird.
Men are the same: "Boob size don't matter" and "Women don't need to be all skinny" but those then they continue "... shape matters more", "... as long as you are poportional", "... as long as you have nice behind" and or my favorite "... I prefer curvy women" *shows a picture of a thin girl with huge boobs and butt*
@purplesparkle lol You've somehow proved me correct.
How so? Men are pretty shallow and their standards are even higher.
Most women don't even care how the face looks, as long as man is not over or underweight and is taller than then, most women will find them attractive.
Of course there are some people who care only for personality, but they are so rare. The difference is that women are at least nicer about it, even if they lie.
Average man is taller than average woman, I don't think that it's an impossible standard.
@purplesparkle Haha, not really. For most men it's enough that they're breathing lol
We actually made a test with a friend of mine (a girl), she's not particularly attractive. And she went to 10 regular dudes in a club, and got 10 phone numbers. Women have much higher standards, also you tend to pick the guy and hint him into approaching, it's just a mind game where you lead a piece of meat to you. You've got like a million hints, so it's not particularly hard to guess who got picked by whom.
@Liisjak It's a different thing who they are just going to hook up with than what kind of requirements they have for their girlfriend or a wife.
I'd say when it comes to women who do one night stands are more shallow, but otherwise women care more about personality than a men who are looking for a relationship. It's not your fault or anything, but don't try to deny it at least.
that height difference is so insignificant at most she is only 1 inch taller.
I would never date a guy who is shorter than me.
Why not? What makes women so special that they have to be the shorter ones?
@yotes-of-472 Because I'm not attracted to them.
Why not? Why you think women have to be shorter?
Why don't you deanonymous and tell who who are instead of hiding like a wuss?
Eternal_Flame, wusses block people, especially after sneaking in a quick post.
What's so bad about men being shorter than you? Somebody show her this post.
@yotes-of-472 I'm always anonymous when I answer questions on this site. It doesn't matter if it's what my favorite color is or a questions like this - I'm always anonymous. And why the hell are you so angry and bitter? I don't have to date someone I'm not attracted to. Why does that bother you? I never said that it's bad for a guy to be shorter than his girlfriend - I said I am not attracted to short men so I would never date a short man - that includes guys who are shorter than me obviously. Why would I date someone I am not attracted to?
A man could be tall and still shorter than his girlfriend. I'm asking why makes them unattractive? What if he is just 1 inch taller than you or same height?
@yotes-of-472 The fact that he is short is unattractive to me. People have traits that they are not attracted to, it might be they are not attracted to fat people, people with a certain hair color, people of a certain race, people with certain facial feautures, people with certain personality traits and so on. There is no reason for them not to be attracted to these traits - they just aren't. That's how it is for me - I am simply not attracted to short men.
How many women wouldn't date a man taller than them tho?
@yotes-of-472 Shut up you insecure s***
@mostwomenshouldstfu
What do you mean? Prove I'm insecure. I'm saying why wouldn't women only date men shorter than her since many women only date men taller than her.
@yotes-of-472 I agree with you slightly in that I think perhaps women should be a little more open minded and give guys who are a bit shorter a chance, at the same time if there's a big difference they can't help what their attracted to. It's like trying to turn a gay man straight.
@yotes-of-472 What are you, 5 foot nothing?
@mostwomenshouldstfu
If I were, I'd be proud of it. I'm asking are there any women that would only date men that are shorter than her.
@yotes-of-472 No you're not.
@mostwomenshouldstfu
I'm not what?
@yotes-of-472 Just what I said.
@mostwomenshouldstfu
About what?
Men like many women shorter than him so why can't women like many men shorter than her?
@yotes-of-472 Are you retarded as well as insecure? Just... what I... said. Reread the thread.
@mostwomenshouldstfu
The thread should be :How many women would only date men that are shorter than her?
I don't even know what insecure means. Many people are insecure. Why don't you point that out to others?
@yotes-of-472 Insecure is believing you have a flaw.
How about you pay it forward. Not going to go on a spree correcting guys who critisize girls who prefer height.
@yotes-of-472
@mostwomenshouldstfu
Why can't women prefer only men shorter than her?
And we all have flaws so we're all insecure.
@yotes-of-472 Stop crying to me. Some of us don't let flaws dictate who we are. That's called character flaw.
@mostwomenshouldstfu
I ain't crying. Name 1 woman that would only date men shorter than her then. I bet you can't. What woman would restrict a man that's taller than her?
@yotes-of-472 Maybe they prefer taller men so a**holes like you will keep their mouth shut around them.
@mostwomenshouldstfu Please everyone don't respond to yotes he's a moron
@mostwomenshouldstfu
Many men prefer only women shorter than him but never met a woman that only prefers men shorter than her. Women are more sexist that men is what that proves.
I'm messing with him a bit. But will do.
@Harpesian
People can tell them. They chose their preferences. Their preferences weren't forced upon them.
I know a few who date taller girls, it looks fine to me.
never
Haha well that was straight forward
Why not?
Kinda harsh... I mean preferences are okay, but really never? Even if he were great other ways?
I'm only 5'2 so i wouldn't
any preferences?
nice
Why wouldn't you?
If all men were shorter than you, you would be. Because you wouldn't know any better.
So your preferences are really of your own thinking but predicated by what your surrounding are.
I meant aren't.
Yeah. If you only dated men shorter than you, you'd have only 1 out of every 200 men to pick from.
Yes, why?
I am only 5ft 2 so no I wouldn't
I prefer 6feet and higher
I'm seeing a guy who is 5'3 and I'm 5'4.
I've only dated shorties, so no big deal
No. That would put him at 5'3 or under.
So. What makes you so special that men can't be shorter? Many men date women that's shorter than him. Men have confidence, why can't women?
@yotes-of-472 I'm not sure if you just like to argue or are insecure for being shorter than 5'3" but surely you have preferences of what you like, don't like and enjoy more and less. Do those things make "you so special"? And which is it, I'm "so special" or lack confidence?
I'm 5'4" so you are wrong. Plus, many men don't pick only women taller than him so why should women? You must be pretty insecure, shortie. You're shorter than I am.
@yotes-of-472 not even remotely insecure slim. But I guess my first assessment was correct. You just like to argue.
No. I just call out sexist women. Men date women shorter than him so women should too.
Why is it okay for you to be 5'3" but not a man be 5'3" or shorter?
@yotes-of-472 who said anything about it being ok or not? That's your own insecurities speaking out sport.
You must be insecure since you're shorter than me by an inch. Short men must intimidate you and make you feel insecure. You can't call a man short if he's taller than you.
@yotes-of-472 the only insecure person in this conversation is you. Try to mentally overcome your diminutive size and gain the confidence you feel your lack of height has given you. What you are doing here is transferring your own insecurities to me and my height. While I wish I were taller, I'm not at all insecure about my height. Nor should you, Tyrion.
You have a more diminutive size than me. So I must be more secure than you.
You also have more of a lack of height than I have.
You lack confidence since you wouldn't date a man shorter than you.
@yotes-of-472 there you go again equating confidence to height. The two are not mutually exclusive Verne.
Okay then what makes you so special that you exclude men shorter than you? Your best match could be 5'1" 107 lb Little Mac.
@yotes-of-472 my guy is 6'4". He likes my size and I like his. No more or less special than anyone else out there. The sooner you stop transferring your height insecurities to others the sooner you can start to enjoy what you have and become more attractive to not only yourself, but to others. Including women taller than you, Prince.
But if you were 6'4" and he was 5'3", you would be insecure with that because you hold sexist views that men have to be taller than their date.
@yotes-of-472 it's not a sexist view. At all.
Surely you understand the term PERSONAL PREFERENCES. Once you get off your argumentative step ladder, you may recignize uou hsve oreferences as well. I don't care what they are but if you voiced them to me, I wouldn't blame you for being sexist. Smh. I'd sssume you had PERSONAL PREFERENCES.
FURTHERMORE, I'm going to continue denying your follow request as long as you continue to demonstrate you only want to argue with every comment I make. This website is about people's opinions. Like assholes, we all have them. Stop being one for me having one.
Yeah and some men choose little girls over women too because they don't back talk as much. Am I suppose to accept that and move on?
@yotes-of-472 is your perpetual arguing with me a misguided attempt to flirt?
What makes you think I'm arguing and flirting?
@yotes-of-472 my mistake. Bye.
Huh?
Yup I have it doesn't bother me.
Not sure. Maybe shorter than me when I wear heels.
@airishere I'm around 5ft6 o rt close to that so not crazy tall.
Yeah sure. I prefer that actually.
I wouldn't have a problem with that.
If I was taller I would.
I'm 5'2 so that's a pretty short person if they're shorter than me. I would still date a guy my height no problem but I tend to think taller, men and women, are more attractive though.
I would
