Anonymous(25-29)+1 yGirl, don't listen to what the people here say. i'm literally exactly the same word for word and i take pride n that. Its rare today and if you're religious as i am that's the way i hold myself and my values. touching the other sex will be reserved for my future husband and there is nothing wrong with that. the world's changed and modesty has become an oddity which needs to be preservd and kept alive. cheering you on and you're not the only one, all my friends are just so. :)

I definitely wouldn't do that, but there's nothing wrongwith it. I imagine it would be hard to find a guy though if you're not willing to do anything with him.

@Purin yeah, I didn't mean all men are bad. Its just that her logic is flawed, she doesn't even want to kiss or hold hands with any guy, so how the fuck is she gonna find a guy to marry? Its not like good guys have "Im a good guy" written on their foreheads so she can just pick one and marry him. Before marriage you need to get to know somebody.
- +1 y
@Purin well its one of basic things in a relationship. if you never even kiss, you two are just friends. and sure, you can marry a friend, and then fuck them, but it would still be a quite weird relationship, since things wouldn't go naturally. there is a reason why its first holding hands, then kissing, then sex. it builds health attraction and sexual desire. and its not for a short period of time either, in order to know somebody good enough to want to spend your whole life with him, it takes minimum of 4-5 years (considering she probably wants as low risk of divorce as possible)
- +1 y
Come on now man. You do not need kiss or hand holding to make a relationship a love relationship. There are plenty of lovers in the old days especially in China who never kissed or held hands. Mostly because they are separated far away. A lot of more conserve societies in the past are more or less like that. This obviously does not mean they did not choose who to marry. But there surely are cases where people have done it. Love doesn't have to be physical though it is good to have it. It could be a longing, a desire that never acted out until said marriage. Is it frequent? Given the world it is today not really. But out of all the people in the world and the time we as a specie has been around, surely some managed don't you think? Hell a simple one can be love at first sight and boom signed up for marriage and then hold hands, kiss etc. Surely some people did that come on.
- +1 y
@Purin love at first sight doesn't exist. as for a relationship without anything physical, as I said - thats friendship. and its not healthy, there is a reason we have a desire for physical stuff. its the same reason why long distance relationships are bullshit. but the worst part here is that there isn't a legit reason for this kind of a weird behavior. and it will make her marriage weird (if she ever finds a guy to marry)
- +1 y
Love at first sight does exist. All it takes is both person find each other attractive. It's not even sophisticated. It just so happens. Who told you relationship without getting physical is unhealthy. That may be a bit extreme. It's not like we have set rules and guides to relationships. Relationship can be defined in many different ways based on the culture and environment. There are couples who are both shy, and due to family reasons or political ones, cannot come into contact with each other. They pretty much only get to come into contact at marriage. It is a different way. It doesn't have to be unhealthy. Sometimes it works out. Sometimes it does not. There are couples like that out there. Conservative societies are more like this.
- +1 y
@Purin tha's called a boner, not love. and a boner is the only thing you can get at first sight. in order to love somebody, you need to know them first. and thats always, 100% of the cases. the thing is any bullshit nowadays is considered love, while most people (obviously including you), have no idea what real love is like. as for relationships, as i said, if you take away any physical contact, itsjust a friendship. what exactly makes it a relationship then? and of course its not healthy, biologically we have a need for sex and physical contact. while love and marriage is bullshit made up by humans, not only is it unneccessary, but its perfectly useless. so do I really need to explain why is it unhealthy to ignore your natural needs, in order to have your weird way with shit humans made up?
- +1 y
I am not saying you are wrong but rather different interpretations and standards exist. Since we lack a internationally approved relationship guide, people will have different approaches to relationships. The physical part sometimes is placed a bit further down the line for some cultures. Does it mean because of that, every couple in that culture is having unhealthy relationships? Some might, some might not. I do not think it will be the deal breaker in this case. It can probably be replaced by different things such as emotional connection or whatever else is there. Physical does come but perhaps later. I think it is a choice for the physical part and some people did manage to do so later on in marriage. Building relationship base on physical contact does have its pros and cons.
- +1 y
I think you are a bit close minded when it comes to definition of love and relationships which is fine. Everyone has different views and opinions on things. But using absolutes may be a bit over the top. Since it is impossible to prove or disapprove that 100% of love is like that. Love at first sight doesn't just result in boners man. I know you are exaggerating a bit but it's not like you see a girl that you like and boom boner happens.
- +1 y
The emotional aspect can make it a relationship. The thing is, getting physical doesn't always make it a love relationship since friends with benefits exists. It could just be the feeling. Physical contact can be a sign and a way to express the desire to go further. But just the fact you both love each other and consider each other partners, that is already enough.
- +1 y
@Purin friends with benefits is still some kind if a relationship. so yes physical contact makes that difference. emotional doesn't mean shit. if emotions meant anything, all those pussy guys stuck in the friendzone would technically be in a relationship with the girl, since they have emotions towards her
- +1 y
Love at first sight can happen. Knowing it is good but not knowing it doesn't mean it does not exist. Just because you do not know there is a thing there does not mean it is not there. And I am not trying to change your opinion. If you wish it so then sure. I respect that. But my take on the subject will always remain open until proven that it absolutely cannot exist. Just a thought.
- +1 y
@Purin there is proof already. As I said, its a FACT you need to know somebody in order to love them. You believing thats not the case just means you never experienced true love. And love is not a magical or a spiritual thing, its a chemical in the brain, created when you get to know somebody and like them. So as I said, boner is the only thing you can get, no matter what a girl looks like
- +1 y
But where is the prove? One simply cannot prove scientifically that relationship = A + B... I don't think one can objectively measure and define relationships given the nature of the subject. If relationship has a handbook then a lot of people will just follow a check list and get into relationships that they desire. Love is a tough code to crack. As for relationship.
- +1 y
Definitions can vary such as definition for many things. It comes down to how we define relationships and what are necessary for it to be one. But do we really know that we out of all humans have the answer? This is probably going into philosophy and things like what is the meaning of love, life etc. Fact only applies to things that we know for sure is true. But most things we know are not a fact. Things such as we need oxygen is a fact since it is scientifically proven that without oxygen we die. But a lot of things are not facts. The only way to prove relationship = 1 + 2 is to have everyone in the world to define it so. But such a task will be impossible and concensus on that scale is not realistic. At the end of the day, it comes down to our subjective definition. Sorry post too long have to cut into part 2
- +1 y
It would be up to those 2 to decide really. It would be imposing for outsiders to judge I suppose. In the end, none of us can be sure how it works. Groups of people try to conceptualize it into definitions that we generally agree to. But to make a definition for everyone in the world is too hard.
- +1 y
@Purin hahah that last comment made me laugh 😂Either way, I see the physical aspect as a key, because when two people like each other, its only after physical contact (kiss or whatever) they are "together". If it all stays on desire, everybody will say "they were never together". So it looks pretty simple to me. But maybe its best to agree to disagree, since we really are getting too deep on this subject xD

@rascalRAH exactly

Dating is just the free-trial to marriage in a way, you do things to test if you'll like it with that person, including physical stuff, sure some of it can wait like sex but you still should have something going on. Not touching is like a relationship in thought. Thats why they say there's two aspects to every relationship, one being physical contact.
- +1 y
@rascalRAH yeah, thats what I was saying. many people avoid talking about the ohysical aspect because they think its "shallow". but in reality, its a very important aspect, and for me personally, a crucial one - without physical contact you can't have a relationship
