I don't really think compatibility means having things in common. For me it means two people existing together without natural conflict or opposing values.
My husband and I don't share a whole lot of interests... we like some of the same movies and we love adventure holidays but that's kind of it. But our personalities and values compliment each other and we take an interest in the others hobbies so just works.
I think compatibility is more important than chemistry, but not in the way it's been defined as things in common 😊
Compatible if you have nothing to talk about then it gets boring really quickly.
Totally compatibility, but for me one comes with the other.
The interaction of our personalities, chemistry, is much more important than common interest i m o. There are certain common interests that are important too though to different people, especially ones dependent on the partner like affection and sex.

Well your not looking for a perfect clone you want to look for someone with chemistry that will give a sort of relationship you want.
I suppose it depends on your preferences but chemistry is more fun

chemistry, I've rejected a few wonderful girld who I had enough common interests with but didn't feel that spark
Usually it starts out with good chemistry but it won't last if you have nothing in common
