When a guy stops being attentive, is this a sign he is losing interest?

We've clicked from the start and became really good friends and now we are at the ( more than friends) relationship stage. He has always been attentive, really sweet and we used to talk non stop for hours when both of us had free times and make plans together.
Now he is being distant and cold on some days. He doesn't talk to me as much some days like before, also he stopped doing the little things like telling me goodnight, what his plans were beforehand etc. We've had minor arguments but worked it out but still some days everything seems perfectly fine and other days it's like he doesn't want to talk and stops using endearments and call me "not so sweet words" instead (as a joke).
