Do overlapping relationships work?

my ex left me and went back to his ex of three years.. he didn't admit it to me for months I had to find out for myself by doing some digging and he would still deny it. I don't understand why. If you love someone why not claim her why not just tell me the truth. It went as far as her getting on a phone and saying they got back together and the next day him calling me telling me she's just a girl he's dated for a month.. my question is do these type of relationships work? They were together for 3 years before me and him were together.

Sometimes they do. But to be real. a lot of the time this is just them settling, because they'll fall back to the last person that "worked" with them before and they'll suffer through to make it work. Because it's harder to go out and find someone new who actually has that chemistry with them.

So why do you think he lied to me about going back to her? Why did he apologize to me and ask for forgiveness then as soon as I told him I knew he went back to hi ex he got angry? It's hard to believe he ever loved me

Me and him broke up and he went back to his ex... we still would email every once in a while.. I asked him so many times if that's why we broke up but he never admit it then I found out on social media that he did go back to her... my question is if he loves her so much and went back to her why didn't he just tell me.. why did he lie and not want to talk about it. He's not with me he's with her so what difference would it make of him admitting the truth. I already knew he was with someone why couldn't he just admit he went back to her... and when I told him I found out he went back he got mad at me said I was crazy and I never loved him and all I wanted to do was hurt him.. he turned it all back on me. Why not claim who ur with

wow I can't explain it however I know how you feel my ex in Florida had a plan to get rid of me even if it meant killing me she had other plans for her life but up until she was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon she told me she loved me and tried to kill me her plan was to make porn in our condo with strangers and put postitution when she got out of jail I was in another state she's still living her dream to be a nasty immoral grandma she would hide conversations on the phone I'm sorry but people can't tell the truth anymore
