Guys ghosting after third date why does this happen?

So just out of curiosity really, was wondering why guys normally ghost after a third date, it's happened to a few female friends of mine, they've thought it was going well, met this "nice guy" then he suddenly either doesn't make the effort to get in touch cause he's busy or he ghosts completely

Probably just realized that they aren't compatible. I don't think it's a thing to ghost after the third date though. If you make it to 3 dates you probably like each other.

That happens when the guy has a three-date rule. Either she puts out by the 3rd date or he splits. Personally, with very few exceptions, I have a 2 date rule.
