I do not think that age gap is especially noteworthy, but this is primarily dependent on how conservative the people whose opinions matter to you are. All age gaps of this sort seem bizarre at younger ages when they wouldn't make any difference at all later in life - for example, a 48 year old dating a 40 year old. I think that once you're 20, you can really date whomever you like.

Ever heard of the half-your-age plus seven rule? It determines the acceptable age range of the partner you can date.

28/2+7=21

Probably not a good idea. Although since it's not illegal, whether or not a 28 yo person dates a 20 yo doesn't bother me as it's none of my concern.

I don't see a problem in that as long as you're in a similar situation in life or can at least understand the other person's situation. My parents are 8 years apart, too, although they started dating when my mom was in her mid-20's.

It's a if age gap at those ages, because a 28 year old is much more mature than a 20 year old (typically). But if the individuals can make it work, it's up to them.

Perfectly normal. Pretty much if both parties are over 18 then nobody really cares... I mean, unless the difference is HUGE... like she's 18 and he's 65.

Once they hit legal age, they can date a 40 year old if they want but in my opinion, a 10-15 years age gap is ok.
