Would you get back with someone you dated briefly in the past? (please read post till the end) ?

Ok so, I dated this guy for roughly 6 weeks and I was the one cutting it off and wished him well when breaking up! We broke up around February and ever since he was reaching out to me sending me messages trying to make small talks! He reached out to me again asking if I am single, asli he was asking for a second chance! I didn't directly say yes but gave him a positive answer! I mean I kinda do like him and gind him attracyive and since I broke up woth him, I was syill thinking about him every now and then! Would you personally get back with someone you dated briefly?
Also, I must add that when we were dating he always pulled the card and said he didn't have any change/cash or his card on him so I was the one paying everytime we went out to eat or watched a movie, he would try to pay me back later on but I refused to take any money back! I mean I don't mind paying on dates and I always offer to pay or try to split the bill with any guy I have dated, to me that's a way to whow that I'm real and not after their money! But with this particular guy it's not the first time he's pulled the same card and gave excuses not to pay! Like I said I don't mind to pay but it's caughtmy attention now! I'm just coming back from a brief date/catching up with the guy as I'm posting this! What do you think? Is he trying to test me or is he just trying to be smart and not pay for anything on dates?

yes i gave it another try only to see his full potential but it didn't work in ur case he want u cause u can take care of him I've also been there dont let him drain u
