Why would a girl tell you she broke up with her boyfriend?

I know this girl for a few days, we go to the same university. A few days ago our group went to the disco together but she didn't come. When I asked her why, she said It's complicated so i didn't ask her anything else. Later, however, she casually mentioned that she just broke up with her boyfriend and she didn't feel like coming, but she is ok now and she will come the next time. So why would she share something thst personal even thought I barely know her?

Maybe because she needed time to process the events that just transpired and once she thought about it she felt like she may have been rude to you. I don't know but it's not like she wants a relationship with you or anything lol
