Do you think Curly hair is hot? What's general opinion as to curly hair?

Before a few days ago, I used to think that curly hair looks messy,
and since I live in Asia, curly hair almost always means he's hair is not natural, which I don't like.
However, a few days ago, I met some cute Belgian guy whose hair was curly, and realized that curly hair looks soooo sexy.
So, I started to wonder if curly hair is generally considered hot,
but I couldn't know it because guys around me didn't have that natural curly hair?
Or It's just that I have a thing for natural curly hair?
Or perhaps it was just that he looked sexy and he happened to have that curly hair?
