There's no way to pin point an exact reason why hatred is directed toward any couple that are different races.
The people who are full of hatred will find anything they can find that's either different or unusual to direct their hatred, it's just the way it is.

One reason is the stereotype of some WMAF couples: that is, a middle aged, ugly, fat white man with a young Asian women (typically what you find with the sex tourism in Southeast Asia)

Another is just the fact that there are white men with yellow fever, and there are also lots of Asian women who have a fetish for white men/exclusively date white men. So some couples are just WMAF who fetishize each other.

One thing I notice with a lot of westernized Asian women is that their preference for only white men really stems for a lot of internalized racism. They see being in a relationship with a white man as a status symbol to move up/ego boost and some are embarrassed by their Asianess and culture that they want to white-wash that away. It's sad and pathetic really, with these women.

It's really those above reasons that are the most common in explaining why WMAF couple gets a lot of shit thrown at them
