Apparently, my friends think it's weird that guys that are very physical fit are a turn off to me. Not saying I wouldn't date them. Most guys I dated go to the gym all the time and are very fit, but guys that are slightly heavier are more attractive to me.
That hasn't always been the case. I've really only started feeling that way for the past year. But then this comparison of Jason Momoa with a 'dad bod' (rolls eyes) started making it's rounds, and I was the only one of my friends who actually think he's more attractive now than when he was ripped. I'd hardly consider it a 'dad bod' but the fact that his abs are gone and he's thicker looks a lot sexier to me than his physique as Aquaman. What are your non-traditional or weird traits that you would in a partner? They don't necessarily have to be a requirement but just something you find attractive that most others would not.

I applaud your individual thinking for not being attracted to the fit muscular men, as I’m sick of those kind of shallow girls. I wouldn’t date athletic women myself (though I’m not saying I desire obese girls either). Exercise, other than walking or dancing, has always been a sign of vanity for me unless it’s required for a career rather than a hobby.
It’s more natural and genuine when people still show attraction towards those who let loose and eat what they wanna eat, etc.
I’m not sure I have any preferred weird traits in a partner, but I just wanted to compliment your non-conformist taste in men 😌
''Exercise, other than walking or dancing, has always been a sign of vanity'' you need exercise for HEALTH first, people who exercise have more energy, feel better, are healthier, stronger, and look better not just for their muscles or figure, but they have healthier skin as a result of circulation and sweating. walking is a form of excercise for old or sick people. exercise benefits you in so many ways not just looks, that's just a dumb outlook. you are still young so you don't see it yet, but if you stay lazy in your younger years that's gonna make it more difficult for you when you're older. and you don't want obese women? but I bet the ones you're attracted to have healthy figure that are not formed by sitting on a couch reading or eating junk food all day long.
I like muscles on a guy but not over the top. The abs come from low body fat % and when that happens all of the muscles are more defined, also the veins are so visible they look like they're gonna pop out which freaks me out a bit lol. so I don't think it's weird at all. especially if you see that and KNOW how much work goes into maintaining that type of body. he'd either have to do it for his career or just be vain. I like his more relaxed body too, probably cause you chose a BAD photo of the fit one. he does not have a dad bod, he is still muscular and strong, just not lean and eats well
I agree that Jason Mamoa is more attractive now. And yeah, I’m not really attracted to the super fit guys anymore. Maybe because every single one I’ve tried to talk to had no personality or ambition. A guy doesn’t have to have a six pack and go to the gym every day to be attractive. 3 years ago I would’ve thought the opposite but now that I’ve tried to look for someone who could be a potential husband, none of that other stuff matters. If I can have an actual conversation with him and he has morals then that’s enough for me.
I don't like overly fit men and I think most women outside of the US don't like it either. We like strong muscular guys but not Hulk-tier or bodybuilder-tier guys.
Someone who doesn't care what people think. I like it when a guy can act weird in public without thinking twice about what strangers are going to think of him (obviously nothing illegal etc)
Huge turn off for me is when a woman (or anyone, really) uses their phone or accesses social media in the company of others for any reason whatsoever. It tells me that whoever that person is with is not important enough to get their attention and I find it insulting. Looking at a phone during a date like above or as a cure to what might be boredom is a 100% guarentee that there won't be a second date. At least for me.
Or the whole being fake nice/charming on the first date or in general. Believe it or not, you dont have to smile all the time or try to be happy when you're not - just be normal and react to things like you usually would, no need to be fake.
Im terms of physical appearance, makeup and expensive clothes are a huge turn off for me. Goes, back to, the whole fake argument.

I have a thing for non-symetrical faces. A lib that is oddly shaped, a scar, something like that. As far as turn offs go. The skinny-fit guys seem so feminine to me. When they have the 6 pack and no arms Im not nearly as turned on as I would be from a guy with a dad bod+big arms.

I prefer the 'dad bod' because I don't feel intimidated by a guy who constantly goes to the gym. I feel intimidated when I go to the gym when there's a lot of bigger built guys there because I'm pretty short, don't look like I've got much muscle and it puts me off using weights. I can lift, yes, but it makes me feel awkward. Back to 'dad bod'.. I used to be with someone skinnier than me and I felt very conscious people thought I was with another girl. Nothing wrong with being LGBT+, I'm just straight, but I'm not the skinniest girl out there and am kinda curvy. I'd rather be with someone I know will eat rather than look like they eat nothing, or just eat for gains. I just see gym bod people to be controlling in not what only they eat, but their partner too, and that makes me feel like they'd control more than just their diet... Rambling over!

And why is a chubby guy going to be less controlling? Like he won't have anything else that he expects of you? Or that he'll be so happy that you're with him that he'll just be controlled by you, instead of reversed?
I feel intimidated because I'm a girl and very short, most men at my local gym have huge muscles and are tall. It matters because I feel like they're going to judge me/laugh at me. I'm not saying bigger men can't be controlling, I'm saying from experience gym nuts have been more controlling/judging. Again, you're twisting it. I never said about me wanting to control anyone, I believe in free will.
For some reason, I used to tend to go after guys with issues (mostly irresponsibility, but also emotionally unstable) and want to be the "hero" that changed their lives. I felt sorry for them and felt like it was my job to help them. What I came across were guys with issues that were completely self inflicted and that they had absolutely no desire to fix, or thought it was easier to be the victim and feel sorry for themselves rather than do anything about it, and just make excuses for themselves. That is when I learned the hard way that you can't help anyone who refuses to help themselves, and some people are comfortable in a mess of a life and don't want out of it, or actually enjoy feeling sorry for themselves.

I learned differently, though. I'm good at it. I'm good at helping people. And I can make them self-sufficient. I can get them to figure out what's wrong and what would be right. Then think about what they want out of life, what steps to take to get there, and how to take the first step. I've helped a lot.
Being intimate with them gives me a lot of influence. So I can use that influence to guide them. If they want to please me and want to be valuable to me, they'll listen to me. Maybe there's a gender difference. Guys are usually more disagreeable, yeah?

I am so totally there with you on that & agree 100%! I find the softness of a little fat way hotter than rock hard muscle. I also don't like feeling any bones either. I want to curl up to someone that feels good to rest on. Gymaholics & weight lifters big turn off. I'd rather have a man who works construction & has a little beer belly.
Unreleated but, Jason Mamoa is not even out of shape and is incredibly healthy. For the role of aquaman, he had to he on a strict diet and had to restrict his water intake. A lot of male actors feel pressured to achieve that body type, and many of them hate it. It's unfair that so many people are criticizing him. That is not a dad bod. But yeah, I do consider it more attractive than abs, so I'm on the same page as you.

well if most were fit then thats what you choose and wanted... so I think it still stands you just want change now because your first choices were mostly fit
thats how it works for almost everyone... most girls have a first choice of the hot guy, but when it doesn't work later in life they then settle for he average guy thats well off

@Valiant That’s actually true. I noticed more guys like girls with a little more meat on their bones and heavy set guys want the thinner girls. Heavy set guys don’t even look my way lol, but guys with a lean build are more likely to show me interest. I’m not fit at all. Not fat, just average, but it is interesting.

I’m more into someone I have true chemistry with and could care less about physical attributes. My current interest is bald and heavier but he’s got beautiful eyes and a great smile. Sexy voice, arms and hands. Looks great in a suit and street clothes. His personality and sense of humor totally match mine.

I like athletic girls that are tougher too. That increases their attractiveness to me, but when they are just regular or ordinary for physical abilities, that doesn't increase my attraction to them. That and I like when girls wear those silky shiny athletic clothes.
