this guy and i were dating we got into a fight and i broke it off our relationship has been confusing since then. now weeks later he’s asking me my feelings and asked why i thought he was an a**hole. I replied “I was wrong for that you’ve been nice to me and I just got dramatic you’re not an a**hole I’m sorry” is this good or is there something else I should say?

if it was honest and it was how you truly felt about him now weeks later, it will help him "bury the hatchet" and know he didn't lose or hurt you after the fight. You say the relationship with him during these few weeks have been confusing. I think now, after the fight and time away, you are both in a good place to figure out together what kind of relationship to have... even if it is with other people.

I think you feelings need to come out to him. As such, you need to make sure he isn't holding his feelings back either. Also, include what you fear about the relationship with him as well. (what scares you. what he does you like. What you have been thinking about him while you been away) all of this will help communicate with him more.

I mean it's good he is still checking up on you and whatnot. He is probably acting like that because he most likely wants you to give him another chance. However, I am not a mind reader to both you and the man in question.

That's a pretty vague response. Meaning you're just apologizing. As a guy, I don't see any sort of implications of either part wanting to start the relationship back up again
