If you truly are friends, tell him how you feel. He probably has no idea.
Way back, before I realised it offends people/has an effect on them, I would have done the same. Bragging (but also testing if you are jealous - if you used to sleep with each other and now you are building a friendship - are you busy getting married, or?)
My theory would be that he is hoping to make you jealous I hopes that your blinding rage will make you want to make him yours

One of 2 reasons. Either he's looking for freeadvice from a woman who's supposed to be his friend now and not influenced by romantic feelings or 2. He trying to see if telling you this stuff triggers feelings of jealousy.
