How do I get a number?

I am now on a college campus. The guy I like is back in my hometown but he is supposed to go to the school across the street but the pandemic🙄. So anywho I still want him but don’t know how to ask him. I guess I should focus on something else since I can’t ask him. So I want to try to get someone’s number here at my school. But how do I do it. I’m too scared to ask, how do I get someone to ask me?
