Let me start off by saying there's nothing wrong with being funny/gooofy/cheery. But I personally wouldn't date one. I'm just not the person who is could see myself with a cheery person. Don't get me wrong, having a sense of humor good, but my personal type of humor is more dry and dark and often morbid. Some guys are the type that enjoy comedies, some romance, some dark, some dramas. I personally like girls who are a bit "emo" or "goth" or "grunge" because they understand me better and I understand them better. But more often guys like girls who are silly or goofy or funny, even to the point of girls being ditzy. I have a friend and she's very funny, my mom is very cheery, one of my sisters is ditzy at times and another of my sisters is very sarcastic/high brow. I'm the one with very dry, morbid, dark humor. To each their own.

Everyone loves the funny girl, IF they are genuinely funny. Like, 99% of women are NOT funny. Like, at all. This isn't to say, they can't have a sense of humor (appreciates funny things). But actually making OTHER people, especially non-friends and males, laugh? Yeah, most women can't do that, at all. Most of comedy comes from relateability, self-deprecation, intelligent observations about society and people, hard work, and timing. Women generally do not have to rely on any of these things to get by in life. Although it should be said, not only are most women not funny, but most men aren't, either. However, like 20% of men can be funny, but only 1% or less of women can be funny.
However IF a woman genuinely is funny, then everyone loves them. Just like people love the funny guy. So if you can genuinely be funny, then most people will love you.
I love funny girls mam. It is a very difficult job to make someone laugh and keep them happy so I would love to meet someone like her I mean a funny girl.
