How do you act when you catch feelings for someone?

Do you wanna talk to the person more or do you tend to fall back because you weren’t ready to catch feels?

I don't really do that so early. I stopped it when I was a teen. I started to learn to like a girl in a way that was more mutual like she likes me and holds my hand on the date so I like her a little bit more, I like her and kiss her so she likes me a little more, etc. I learned to keep things on a more even kilter. Until we're dating and really expressing serious affection and desire for each other, I keep the heart blocked. She's just a pretty girl. There's a bunch of them. She'll become something more after we date and everything goes super well.

So I stopped "catching" feelings after daydreaming teenage crushing years. I started "building" them with a girl who seems to show promise and mutual interest. And if she didn't, I didn't build anything, so nothing lost but a little bit of time and money (which is just another form of time).

Probably depends on the person. I've always leaned into the relationship when I caught feelings. I didn't shy away. That's not always a good thing though as they don't all pan out.
