I'm an American. My government tells more (more and less, and usually pretty discreetly) that I'm supposed to hate these people (they're probably told the same stuff about us). I'd bet good money, though, that if I were to go there and actually meet them, we'd get along okay. Maybe not always great, but okay. But no; they're supposedly all evil Islamic fundamentalists, and we're all evil Imperialist running dogs (I don't know what a "running dog" is- maybe a Siberian Husky?), just like Americans and Russians used to say about each other. Would that we could take our leaders and give them their own special place to go hang out in and hate each other while the rest of us got on with our lives.

I, on the other hand, simply see that a pretty lady is a pretty lady, and governments be damned (logically, the same would hold true for a pretty dude, but I can't speak from experience on that point). So to answer your question, yes (the attractive ones, anyway) and yes. Actually dating someone who lived thousands of miles away would be pretty tricky, though.

For me it would heavily depend as I'm not comfortable probably ever visiting their home nation. Add the heaping amount of tension by being an American citizen. I'd be willing to date a iranian/persian woman. However I'd probably have a great deal of anxiety depending on what her connections are with her family if she has family still in Iran. As I'm not interested in dating any woman who has a huge amount of baggage that might end up getting me MIA or wose death cause their family probably doesn't like my home nation.

So yes would I date and maybe marry a Iranian woman? Yes, however they gotta understand any threats on my life or my family and I"m out faster and further than a goliath frog can jump. If I get death threats.

Most Iranian women are probably not Arab. Being Arab refers to the ethnic group or more generally those who speak the Arabic language. Most people speak Persian in Iran.
