It is good if it is convenient for you and shows he loves spending time with you but if it becomes a barrier in your life and prevents you from getting things done then it can become a nuisance. People do need space and time to themselves to focus on their own things.

He sounds either needy, or wants to be there 24/7 so you don’t look elsewhere or spend time with anyone else.
Both are red flags in my opinion.
