The question is what is your business in dating in the first place? Money is important but ONLY to do things with it as well as to show stability as most do want to get married and have families. But if your focus looks and sex, then yes, many women want a highly and sexually attractive guy. Because it is about genetics and passing on those genes with the right biological mate possible. If your dating strangers you have to meet those qualifications.
