Is 9pm too late for a drinks/food date?

This guy I’ve been talking to for about a week asked me out to dinner originally Tuesday but I was busy so I declined. Now we have a hangout planned for tomorrow but he said 9pm meet up for drinks n stuff at a bar. I’m a bit nervous as I don’t really trust men after dark. Is this a late date time or is this just normal?

He probably should have took a cue when you first declined and then asked for a lunch date. Nothing wrong with saying no again if you are uncomfortable about anything.

Well, I'm kind of a hypocrite because I really don't know my drinking limits. I'm the worst. If I was a girl, I'd probably be date-raped all the time. But women should especially know their limits hanging around questionable guys. Order some water. Nurse your drink. Drink mostly soft drinks like beer or wine, not slam down tequila shots.

Also, there is this trick that Japanese girls do. What you do is exaggerate your drunkenness before you are really drunk. Then you can see how the guy reacts to that. It's maybe a little bit manipulative but you can keep your wits about you. If he acts in a very bad way, you are sober enough to kick him in the balls.
