I haven't watched it but there was some noise about it, decided to check what the fuss is about. From the low rating and reviews what I gathered was its just glorifying cheating. Cheating was some sort of female empowerment.

Even women took a dig at it. So the main character has happy marriage but she is bored. She goes back to cheating with her manipulative, abusive ex. Husband instead of being mad still wants to be with her and is willing to do anything. Doesn't seem like something men would watch apart from sex scenes which are plentiful.

One female review I found interesting where she said, there is no way rich, handsome guy would stay with her, despite her cheating. Its female fantasy. So yeah it seems like trashy romance novels, that she is "special" despite her cheating on her husband, she is so "special" husband is still willing to do anything still to be with her, husband who is rich and handsome who will have no problem comfortably getting other women. But no he still wants her?

Just seems trash, think about it in reverse if main lead was male and he was doing the same? And writing and acting didn't get positive reviews either. So it doesn't seem like something I'd be interested in watching, unless the reviews are wrong?

I watched one episode last night.

Visually it looks good. I like the sets and aesthetics and the main lead woman has a good look.

But I'm finding it cliché. I don't have high hopes for it anymore. The dialogue and details are really formulaic compared to what they could be from a better writer. It feels like something to fill the void, a subject many women may like to see, but I think they should have flushed it out more, and waited to find a better writer.

There's no actual chearing, but the fantasies she writes about her ex in her journal triggers an insecurity in her husband that she could be capable of cheating. His jealousy creates all the problems and his inability to look inward and take responsibility almost destroys their marriage.

Let me be clear marriage should be end all be all. Divorce should be illegal except under specific circumstances. Assuming privacy is a thing is a mistake in a relationship. Nothing should be hidden. Also even if it did almost ruin them a marriage used to be defined by overcoming hardships like these but now it’s a paper.
