Why is my boyfriend nervous around me?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year, I know he loves me but he still seems very nervous around me. Like when we cuddle and stuff his heart is always beating so fast, and when we talk he gets kind of serious and talks low.

Why is he being like this? Like, I’ve tried to make him feel comfortable

From my viewpoint, I am always nervous around women, even when comfortable. And to some level, again for me, when cuddling I would be afraid of possibly taking things too far and either escalating past cuddling or touching an area I shouldn't. Another option could be that he wants to possibly escalate things, but doesn't want to scare you off... The best thing to do honestly would be talk to him, see if there is something wrong or if there is something you can do to help him. Communication is essential for a good health relationship.
