Girls, Is it a turn off if a guy tells you that you’re too tall for his liking?

Question

Imagine if you’re going on a first date with a guy who is 2 inches taller than you. Then he Asks for your height then complains about how you are too tall for his liking and that you are almost as tall as a man. You tell him that you are 5’4” and he asks “are you sure?”

would you still give him a second date?

A guy that has issues with things that's out of your control is a dick. How about you don't go on a date with the short ass? No never... I mean you could ask him, why he is so short? Avoid him. Not worth it. He complains about something as trivial as height, how would he be in a relationship when it came to "serious" issues?🙄 Oh and saying you're as tall as a man? WTF is up with that - has he seen models?

I'm not sure if I would. I'm 5'5 and if a 5'7 guy said that to me then I would be extremely annoyed. I already get from people that I'm tall when in reality I'm slightly above average for an American female (I still consider myself average height). I don't like being told I'm so tall when I'm really not

It is perfectly fine if a guy admits he is not attracted to me for any reason. I have no issue with that.

2) Complaints about shit he can't change THIS EARLY? Certified man child.

He clearly has some growing up to do before he's ready to share whatever he calls a life with someone else - regardless of height.

If you are 5'4'' and 2 inches taller than him then that makes him 5'2'' which is very short for a guy lol Sometimes guys would said weird stuff like that to give you a hint that they are not interested in you and don't talk to them ever again. Maybe that is his excuse for not being interested in you?

Stay away from him, run. Happened to me once... it's repulsive. I'm 5'10, the guy was 5'9 and I was wearing one inch doc martens. I like people taller than me, I just do. People shorter than me always have something weird to say about height. I settle for what I deserve.

Yeah he is trying to give you a subtle put down to throw you off balance. Unfortunately short guys are really insecure about their height and in general... I would not be interested in him because if this how he starts a relationship you know he will only be more headaches. He also could be seriously not interested so either way it’s not good

I mean the way your question is worded makes very little sense. He's the one complaining yet asking for a second date? I'd assume that if I'm not to his liking he won't want a second date. But other than that the answer is no, it's not a turn off. I won't judge a guy for having preferences, because I too have preferences for different stuff. I too don't like men who are too tall. Just move on.

I mean I wouldn't be mad at him for that but I would be mad at him for wasting my damn time. If I am too tall for his liking he should've left me the hell alone and go look for his preference. I don't like my time being wasted.

It's his preference and that's fine. I would rather he told me early. Being tall, it is clear many guys are self conscious about taller women. I am self conscious about short guys.

I mean a guy telling you that anything about you is not what he wants is not a turn on. Like the turn on is hearing that you are what he wants so yeah definitely a turn off. But not a dealbreaker

Yes. It is ok if he has phsysical preferences but he does not have to tell you. I also prefere tall men but i would NOT reject shorter guys in a rude way or I would not even tell them why i reject them in order to respect them

I would not be offended at all. I would appreciate his honesty. We are all entitled to our preferences and he doesn’t owe me attraction. Him telling me the truth will save us both a lot of time.
