What is the purpose of pulling away but still making yourself known on someone’s social media?

This man i went on a couple dates with was in touch with me often, and then stopped. He still interacts with my social media posts.

(i did mention on our date that he was intense but I liked that he was clear. He asked me if I want a third date and I said sure.) he told me he was interested in dating more than casual. I wanted to continue to see the potential there but I don’t want to have to chase somebody.

I guess my question is, if this were you, what might be your motivations for keeping up with my social media but stop the texting?

I personally think you need to keep up with the intense energy and just be straight forward that you would like to go on a date with him. Just one message. You don’t need to do two. I think he might be coming off strong and clear because he doesn’t want to play the chasing game that you want to play. He most likely wants someone that makes him feel just as wanted and that he knows you are interested. Just message him “hey I’m just reminding you, I would like to see you again” or “hey this restaurant _ looks insanely delicious, we should try it”

He mentioned that he’s busy with work but open for the future. I’m gonna take that as a let me down easy! But it’s good because I can stop spending energy on it
