Is it necessary to flaunt your love for someone on social media?

And tell the whole world you found love or love someone and why they do it? Is it better to keep up that private and only share it with your family and friends but not over social media?

Will that backfire if things go south? I have a friend of mine who is like 40 years old got divorced like 3 years ago, she share a 12 yrd old daughter with her ex. Last year she found love again and even though she used to share snipets of her new relationship on social media, she still was a bit discreet until today she shout it to the rooftop who was the guy she found love again. She wrote like a poem on social media, sharing her happiness and excitement on how she found love again when there were times she had a difficult life and also mentioned that love has no age. I dont know if now that she share it to the public is because she got engaged. The guy in question does seem a bit older than her.
