Is it shallow not wanting to date any girl without a PhD if you are one?

I feel like girls who aren't into academia that much will not understand a guy with PhD or a scientist. Most scientists don't care about materialistic stuffs that much. A girl who's not into high education probably will not value it and will be more attracted to guys with higher paying jobs or higher physical attributes.
It will be hard for conversions too , normal women can find highly intellectual stuff boring

Uh, yes? I'm not sure if PhD is the most prestigious level of education, considering there are many people who go to med school for 10 years and work their asses off. I believe that academic qualification =/= knowledge. People have different areas of interest.

If you want to have an animated conversation with someone, then I don't think their academic qualification should matter that much, considering there are many different courses in PhD, like PhD in chemistry, physics, zoology and so on. If you have a PhD in zoology and she has a PhD in mathematics and has little to no interest in zoology, do you think you'd be able to have a "highly intellectual conversation" with them about zoology? Would they even be interested?

You do you, mate. But honestly? When looking to date a girl, you should see if there's mutual attraction, compatibility, stability (both emotional and financial), trust and many other factors matter more than just a PhD. Good luck

Med school isn’t 10 years , it’s actually just 4. Rest are getting professional experience. Medical doctors can get phd too. Plus MBBS is an UG degree , just like BS is four years. MS/MD is for one or two years. Phd is 5 years or more , plus you have to write something original not repetitive. People can go for Postdoc then for two or three years. Leaving the dating aside core science Phd is hardest among all fields. Phd in Physics and mathematics are toughest among all stem and non stem fields. See it’s not about Phd it’s about a girl from stem who share similar values and understanding. I think other girls will not recognise it

uh its actually 5 years including house-surgency. Plus, without a PG degree, MBBS is absolutely useless. Like if a person wants to be a neurosurgeon, then the course is for 6 years after MBBS, that's like 11 years in total. If you want to marry a girl from STEM, then go ahead. Who's stopping you?

No your entitled to your opinion.. just know that not everyone has that opportunity for mommy and daddy to pay their way through schooling.. your missing out on a lot of good contenders.. genuinely good people that aren't superficial! Education doesn't mean your smarter or a better person! a lot of eduated people with PhDs can't do anything with their PhD so they get an entry level job.. so dont be so quick to judge..

Most science Phd’s Don’t care about money but about their research. I am from poor background and worked for my education my whole life. General girls without education don’t value education as a quality in guy , they prefer guys with money or superior looks. As they can offer the same. Most scientists don’t get paid much but they are t doing it for money.

Okay I was wrong about that.. good for you paying your own way! I did as well.. dont have a phd dropped out my last year.. family issues with my little brother.. dad took my student loan plus a lot of my pay check to pay for his lawyer fees.. I had to get a roommate.. my sister decided to move back home and commute.. but she had to do they same she had to quit her job cause of people knowing about her brother.. I got tired of living off cereal had seizure during class.. couldnt catch up when I got back so my professor got me a job in the field with my current education and I hated it! So didn't return to school.. the job I have now I make more than I would have if I continued what I was doing. Thinking of going back to school to be an accountant! So right now I have education but no phd.. my sister got hers.. but couldnt do anything with her PhDs.. places would tell her she's over qualified they couldnt pay her what she deserved.. she worked entry level jobs for 6 years.. during covid there was a job posting for what she went to school for she applied got the job and she is loving it.. she had no real experience in the field.. im soo happy for her.. but I dont think a phd says anything about someones character if thats one of your biggest deciding factors.. for example I wanted my guy to play the guitar does my guy do that nope but I am incredibly happy with him! Sometimes what we think we need we actually dont.

You seem to be conflating "not wanting to date" with "not being attractive to." You start by asking if it's shallow not to want to date a girl without a Ph. D. and then you lay out a few reasons why a girl without a Ph. D. might not find you as attractive as another man.

It's not shallow at all , you just want some one who reaches your standard academically. People have different values and if you value being with a highly educated person don't feel bad about it

Why should having a PhD matter? A PhD isn't a guarantor of success, a high income, or anything else. You're not a better person, character-wise, because you have a PhD. I don't have a PhD, and I don't want one anyway. You're just a snob.

I have never associated phd with high income , success , or it makes you better than everyone else. However a phd reflects a person’s with hard work and intelligence and dedication. You seems bitter and judgmental even towards strangers.
