You can't generalize and say all single dads think the same way. Some single dads really love kids and are interested in the dynamic and the understanding that a single mom will have about kids. And they may want that. Others don't care either way. Some don't want to have to deal with someone else's kids. Every guy has his own take on it.

Most guys want to find a woman they can relate to, who they are attracted to, and enjoy being with. A woman can be all of those things, whether or not she has kids - is not the main factor. I am a single dad. I am with someone awesome now. But when dating I didn't base my choices on whether or not she had kids. Either was fine... Everyone is different, situations can be different. You need to look at each person individually. There are a lot of factors, not just kids

Most of my friends are single dad's, none of them have dated since they broke up. My best friend said it this way

Considering in order to get a single date the average guy needs to spend about 1200 hours online.
Then he's expected to pay for everything

A lot of single guys without children have completely given up , the dating environment for us is toxic.

I'm just speaking for myself and guys I know. None of us are single dads but we believe the CONTEXT of your single motherhood is a key factor in if we'd give you a chance. I'm not a father. Would I date a single mom? POSSIBLY. The reason for her being single is important. Did she get knocked up on a Tinder date or at a Night Club? If so then HELL TO THE NO. Was she cheating on her husband? Again HELL TO THE NO! She's also going to have make time for me and prove her loyalties along the way. And if she treats her kid like shit then again HELL TO THE NO!

That depends on the Man and his comfort zone. If he is self-conscious, he will seriously consider dating only a Mom living on her own doing it all on her own for the kid. Otherwise, he will be open to dating anybody, whether they are on their own or not. Some prefer single Moms simply because they can relate and they have the most in common with them.

Never mind the Brady Bunch (although Marcia was hot and probably an easy lay), it was fiction and not reality.

It’s nice to say “I can’t hang out because I have to do “X” with my kid” and it’s fully understood.
