Am I the only one that hates “love you” instead of “I love you”?

Like why can’t you just put in the effort to say “I love you” or text “I love you”

I believe the difference between the two lie in the fact that usually you say "I love you" to a significant other when you really are IN LOVE with them or to a family member when they are FAR away and you need them to know you LOVE Them, as oppose to when you call random friend or family member over the phone who are just at the store or at their townhouse and you say by in a sweet endearing way you simply say 'love you" like you love/care about them but not in an intense way so as to say I LOVE You

I honestly don't care as long as the person genuinely loves me. I mean, I'd be lucky to find someone who loves me, I love em back.. like isn't that hard?

Ahh, I get what you mean. As long as your SO treats you well, that should not be a matter, should it? Some people are just too lazy to type words properly. I usually get annoyed when people use the wrong spellings of certain words, so I get you

They are both meant with = acknowledgement. "I love you" is generally used more in the romantic and intimate setting, whereas "love you" is usually used when the other is rushing out the door. But in either case, don't overthink this and just remember it is important to appreciate the fact they took the time to say it.

Because they mean two different things. I love you means I love you. love you means there is something he loves about you, or that he finds the idea of you loving. The "I" changes the meaning of love you. Maybe he is saying just what he wants to say to you, that that is what he means...
