If I knew how to drive and had a car. NO. Because if something happens to that car, who has to pay for repairs, insurance or God forbid somebody ends up in an accident, etc? Me. That is your boyfriend, NOT your husband.

That isn't my problem. He is a boyfriend. Not my husband. And you do not give a dating partner spousal privileges. As an adult, he needs to be responsible for his own adult choices as I do. I don't mind helping people if possible. But as an adult, he needs to learn to be more independent and he will find a way to get to work no matter what. I am not shaking up with a boyfriend before marriage either. so UNLESS it is a temporary situation, you do not want to entertain this before this becomes permanent. You ask what I would do, that is what it would have been if it was me. I cannot tell anybody else what to do. But it does sound like this guy doesn't have it together. Otherwise, it would be best you drive him to work if you feel that bad. However, what is he going to do in the meantime while his car gets serviced? If the car gets serviced on time depending on what needs to be checked, fixed, and the money is there, is he going to go to work with his own car? That is the question. What is going to happen in the meantime? And if and when the car is fixed, what is going to be for now on?
