OK so like personally into it, but I wish that I was.

But like, several of my friends almost exclusively date plus-sized girls. In fact one of my friends dated a thin girl I had a bit of a crush on, and his thing was "I didn't find her especially attractive at first. But despite her thinness, I did find something sexy about her." DESPITE her thinness.

His thing was always plus-sized girls. He found the look softer and more elegant. And the girls he dated did have pretty elegant personalities so I could see where he was coming from. I'm hoping I can start seeing plus-sized women through his eyes.

Also note that if you are looking at a media standard, the media portrays what is essentially the most common denominator. Something everyone can like at least a little, but certainly not everyone's ideal. What men like varies a lot and always has. What changes is essentially which men the media considers "correct" at a given time.

I think the issue is that it has been more of an acquired taste and thick women used to be rare, so it matched up. Now it's more in abundance.

Some do, some don't. About half of my friends were with obese women. Yeah, obese, like 50 + pounds overweight.
I on the other hand never have and never will. I have no attraction for them.

It just varies person to person. Some people like it, some don't. We all have different preferences.

Absolutely. There's a tremendous difference between plus sized and fat. Problem is a lot of fat women don't want to accept they're not plus sized. They're fat!
Sorry life isn't always fair. But that's reality.

Everyone has different taste and some men prefer it. I have a friend that would take a plus size women over a Victoria secret model or most Instagram models. So yes people date them seriously
