We’ve known each other for years it’s honestly not the first time we hung out alone together but we went on a date and we hooked up yesterday. We’re still talking normally like we always do. We’re doing something next weekend …. I feel insecure about it now though I’ve never hooked up on a first date

I never would have sex that early, but I usually don't know someone more than 18 months before dating.
If I ever date my crush, I don't see that changing even though I have known her for over 4 years. I 've just been dating my girlfriend for 3 years and 7 months of that time. I don't think I wi date her anymore though. I am still madly in love with my girlfriend and she's dating someone.

Since you have known each other for years, it's definitely not trashy. I did the same years ago. We were friends for years and hung out from time to time. We were both single at the time and decided to go camping for the weekend as we both enjoyed that. That night we slept together. We said either this is something great or we are ruining a great friendship. That was almost 30 years ago and we are still together.

No, it all depends on the two involved and it's a technicality, you've known him a lot longer, and essentially are already way past the first date. But even if you weren't, there's nothing wrong with it if you both are comfortable with it.
