What’s something small that confuses you about the opposite gender?

I was talking to a neuroscience student the other day about this but mainly stress relief. When I come home from a hard day at work, I want to chill out and relax, laugh, have some fun! It's over! Party time!

Meanwhile, most women I met bring their work stress home with them and want to talk about it... and sometimes A LOT!

Also, I tend to want to be a problem-solver if someone shares their problems with me. So if someone says, "I'm having a lot of problems with this," I say, "How about try this?" Then sometimes women are like, "I don't want a solution!"

Some guys can be like this too, mind you, but I encounter far more women than men like this in my personal experience.

I have learned to navigate this the hard way. I figure with women like this that they want to be understood first and foremost, so you show that you are listening really well, and you share things about yourself, and she shares things about herself, and she feels safe and trusts you being on the same page. She doesn't necessarily want a suggestion to do things differently. She just wants to be understood. That's my best take on it. But I'll never quite understand it.
