In my opinion it is a bit short but nothing too bad.
There are many women shorter than 1.70m so I am guessing he probably wouldn’t have a very hard time finding a date.

In the country I live in the average height for a woman is 5’4

Yes. Hell, anything shorter than 6'0"/183 cm is considered short for a man nowadays. Believe me; I'm in the "F" group of height. And me being only 180, I've found almost no women willing to date a guy of my stature. 170 is even worse than where I am.

My dad is 1m75 and my mom is 1m71 yet she had no issues marrying him and my bestfriend is a guy her height (1m70).
I think this maybe only matters in hook up culture
Most women want a taller man but also most women are short so a 5ft9 guy will most likely not be rejected solely on base of height

Personal experience story: My last ex (still love to death) was 5’6 (you suck) man handled/knocked out cold a 6’6 biker talking shit cause he thought my ex’es “6’6” height was fun. Biker ended up in a hospital and pressing charges. and then I had to bail my ex out of prison the next week. Applauding him. Because size doesn’t. Mean. Shit. ☺️

Yes, I consider that height short for a man. That's close to my height. A man of that height is only 2 inches taller than me. And yes, you're right that he wouldn't have a very hard time dating. As long as a man is the same height or taller than me then it isn't an issue for me.

I am 5'8, so 5'7 is not ridiculously short... but 5'9 is average height for a man. So its is shorter than average. But I do pretty well for more self... just know science has proven that height is not an indicator for length. I may be an inch short than average, but I am a inch and half longer than average.

I'm around that height. it's "short". Not really much you can do about it, just own it and move on. You will be at a disadvantage compared to men who are taller but that's the game, baby. Assuming you don't have an absolutely busted face, take care of your body and get good at something and learn to love yourself and be confident. If I like him, I don't care how tall he is. My first male love was slightly shorter than me, my first crush in high school was as tall as me and in the university I had a crush on a guy who was 30 cm (1 ft.) taller than me.
Regarding men their height doesn't matter to me at all. Only regarding women my preference is a little different.

I have the impression that he is asking about height in general, which is just under 5'7 as the world average for men. 5'9 is supposedly for the USA alone, but considering that more than 70% of men add 1-4 inches to their height (and even doctors themselves tell patients more, measure them in shoes, etc.), the reality is that the average is 100% minimally 1 inch less.

For example: The Czech Republic states the average is 181 cm (5'11 1/3), but the reality is that the average there is at most 177 (5'9 4/5), because I met people who were the same height as me, but they told me that they were 8 cm taller than they really are (roughly 7 guys out of 10 will lie there).
