Girls, I asked a girl out on insta about 42 hours ago, she hasn’t responded yet, should I do anything?

I asked a girl out on Insta about 42 hours ago, and she hasn’t responded. The message is still on sent, not read. We still follow each other on insta, and she has been reposting friends posts on her story as she usually does. Did she just not see my message, or is she just not interested. I would assume that if she was rejecting me, she would have unfollowed, or even blocked me by now. Should I do anything, or just wait for a response?

Forgot to mention, she also viewed my story earlier today, not sure if that makes a difference, just figured I’d mention it.

I am not familiar with any of those social media and the way they function but my feeling is that if she has not responded within 48 hours, you should consider her as a lost case for you.

If you notice that she has other activities on this platform but fails to answer, it is indicative that she is either not interested or that she does not really know what to reply.

In any case, this is not good news for you because if she did have even a remote interest, she would have acted upon your message within 24 hours.

If it weren’t for one thing, I would totally agree. It’s the fact that she hasn’t seen the message that makes me wonder. I have no clue how often she checks her dms on Insta, so there’s an almost 100% chance she hasn’t even seen the message. Should I follow up, or just wait and see what happens?

Give her another day and if she did not see your message, then send her another one saying something like

"hey, I hope you are ok because I haven't heard from you in XX days. Just let me know that everything is fine on your side".

If she does reply, then you can use her reply to your second message to continue the converstation.

I would just wait. It can be kinda a shock when someone asks you out over text… It gives you more time to think about it, so that’s probably why she isn’t responding.
